Beverly Kelley Hoffman

Beverly Kelley Hoffman, 85, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 in Willowbrook Memory Care in Vandalia, after a battle of multiple health issues.

Beverly Allice Kellley Hoffman graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2021 at Noffsinger Cemetery with masks and social distancing observed. Memorials in Beverly’s memory may be made to North Star care at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville.

Beverly Kelley was born on July 18th, 1935 to Veldie and Alice Kelley who were residencies of Vandalia Illinois. Beverly was a graduate of Vandalia High school and married to Wayne Hoffman in 1956. Soon after they moved to Steger, Illinois where they resided for over 60 years.

Beverly spent her life caring for her son Kevin Wayne Hoffman who passed away on April 30th, 2000. Wayne Hoffman passed away on July 16th, 2018. Kevin attended Speed Schools where Beverly worked as a Kitchen Aid for many years. Kevin continued attending Southstar Services a center and home for handicapped adults.

Her love of Counted Cross Stitch gave her much comfort. She made many beautiful pictures, towel sets, blankets and anything she could use to decorate. Most items were donated to friends and family.

Beverly is survived by her brother Jim (wife, Marie) Kelley of Mt. Olive, North Carolina; and Sister Diane (Jim) Kelley-Thompson of Oak Park, Illinois.

She was Aunt to Kristy Kelley-Joyner and Erin Kelley-Drake both of North Carolina, and Teresa and David Hoffman. She was sister-in-law to Bill and Pat Hoffman, and Janet McCain and Delbert Hoffman all from Vandalia.

Due to Unprecedented times the family will hold a celebration of life on July 18, 2021…Beverly’s Birthday. Diane always gave Beverly a party on her Birthday!
