Sallie L. Trier, age 70, of St. Elmo, passed away at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018 at her home in St. Elmo, surrounded by her loving family.
A funeral service was held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17 at St. Elmo Christian Church in St. Elmo with a viewing from 4-7:30 p.m. Tom Fedrigon officiated the service. Memorials may go to St. Elmo Food Pantry, St. Elmo Caring and Sharing, American Cancer Society, Wounded Warriors, or the donor’s choice. Sallie was born on Sept. 4, 1948 in St. Elmo, the daughter of Virgle and Goldie Marie (Force) Harris. She married Verle “Chip” A. Trier on April 2, 1983; he preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 2012. She worked for Century 21 for many years. She had a passion for her work and received numerous top awards for her outstanding achievements and dedication. She enjoyed traveling, gambling at the boat, fishing, golfing, crocheting, reading, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her four sons: Jim Trier (wife Tamey) of Byron, Jerry Trier (wife Linda) of Sedley, Va., Jeff Trier (wife Reba) of St. Elmo, and Marty Evans (wife Rebecca) of Brownstown; two daughters, Judy Trier (husband Zeo Aziz) of New York and Sheila Austin of Casey; three sisters, Trudy Reichert of Farina, Loretta “Letty” Cameron of St. Elmo, and Sandy Sickles of St. Elmo; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgle and Goldie Harris; her husband; and three brothers-in-law, Gordon Reichert, Tracy “Short” Cameron, and TJ Sickles.
