James R. Reynolds, 82, of Beecher City, died at 8:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date. Gieseking Funeral Home of Altamont is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
James was born on Friday, May 22, 1936 in Fish Trap, Ky. to Lendo and Hazel (Justice) Reynolds. He married Christine Ward on July 1, 1956 in Corinth, Miss. He was retired from Bridgestone-Firestone in Decatur.
He is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Christine, of Beecher City; daughters Veronica Taylor and Venita Galbreath, both of Beecher City; brothers Darrell (Bernice) Reynolds and Leslie (Florence) Reynolds both of Pikeville, Ky., and Jay Reynolds of Kingsport, Tenn.; sister Caroll Worrix of Pikeville, Ky.; granddaughter Amanda (K.C.) Childress of Brownstown; and great-grandson Jimmy Braasch of Beecher City.
James was preceded in death by his parents by his and three sisters: Thelma Ward, Jeanette Daniels, and Gen Youngblood.
