The St. Elmo Community Unit School District #202 Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, April 16. Among several items, the board approved several changes to personnel.
First, the board accepted the resignation of Carly Dorr as the Jr. High Cheerleading Co-sponsor.
The board also adopted a resolution authorizing the honorable dismissal of Abby Fryer as a half time paraprofessional.
In the final personnel move, the district agreed to hire Robert Cox, Jr. as district mower for this summer.
The board approved a dual credit program agreement with Lake Land College. This agreement allows seniors to earn college credits counting toward a degree while still in high school.
The annual agreement for membership in the Illinois Elementary School Association was approved. The board was approve this agreement each year to stay within the IESA, which is the governing athletic body for elementary and junior high students.
With graduation a mere four weeks away, the board approved the graduation list for the Class of 2018. The list of graduating seniors is still pending due to the students requirements for graduation are yet to be fully completed.
Finally, the board of education adopted the IASB PRESS policies from January and February of 2018.
The next school board meeting will be held on May 21 at 7:30 p.m.
