Kay Carolyn Turck, 74, of St. Elmo, formerly of Brownstown died at 11:40 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017 at Aperion Care, St. Elmo.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 at St. Elmo Christian Church, with Tom Fedrigon officiating. Burial followed at Whitten Cemetery, Fillmore. Visitation was from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 11 at the church. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Aperion Care Activity Fund. Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home, Brownstown is assisting the family with arrangements.
Kay was born on Friday, April 2, 1943 in Fillmore, IL to Charles and Rena (Isbell) Griffin. She married Louis Joseph Turck in Las Vegas, NV, and he preceded her in death in 1981. She was a member of the St. Elmo Christian Church. Prior to her retirement she had been employed with John Crane Packing Co. in Vandalia.
She is survived by: her daughter, Michelle (John) Stewart, St. Elmo; grandsons, Caden and Calen Stewart; brother, Jim (Rita) Griffin, Keyesport; sister-in-law, Ginny Griffin, Decatur and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
