Donald L. Kilzer, 62, of St. Elmo, passed away at his home on April 29, 2017.
Funeral service was held at noon, on Wednesday, May 3 at the St. Elmo Christian Church with two hours visitation prior to service. Tom Fedrigon officiated. Burial followed at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in rural St. Elmo. Memorials may go to the St. Bonaventure Cemetery or the donor’s choice. Donald was born on June 10, 1954 in St. Elmo to Robert and Marie (Durbin) Kilzer. He loved going mushroom hunting, working with wood and spending time with friends, family and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his: mother, Marie Kilzer of St. Elmo; four sons, Mark Kilzer (wife Barb) of St. Elmo, Josh Kilzer (wife Christy) of St. Elmo, Jason White (wife Kylie) of Bridgeport, Ill., and Mike Short (wife Angelia) of New Baden, Ill.; one daughter, Brandy Brown (husband Marion) of Vandalia, Ill.; fiancée, Sheryl Jackson of St. Elmo; two sisters, Janet Flora (husband Gary) of Beecher City, and Cheryl Calhoun of St. Elmo; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kilzer and his twin brother, Ronnie Kilzer.
