James Young, 79, of Kenosha passed away on Friday April 14, 2017 at Hospitality Manor surrounded by his loving family.
James was born on April 5, 1938 in Dexter, Ill., the son of the late Kenneth and Doris (Shepard) Young. He was educated in the schools of Altamont, graduating in 1956. He was a member of the Illinois National Guard. James married Joyce Block-Huff in 1962, after her passing, he married Joyce Friend Krogh on April 2, 1980 in Kenosha. James was a self-employed photographer for many years. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. His hobbies included watching TV, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his: wife, Joyce Young of Kenosha; children, Barb (Dan) Dickman of Trevor, Bradley (Mary Jo) Young of California, Bernerd (Sylvia) Young of Texas, Jeriann (Clark) Severson of California; Jamie (Patricia) Young of Kenosha, Wisc., Gordie (Jenn) Krogh of Kewaunee, Wisc., Dave (Mary) Krogh of Minnesota, Laura (Mike) Littel of Pleasant Prairie, Wisc., a brother, Kenneth (Toni) Young and sister Sharon (Harvey) Evans of Illinois; 29 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharyl (Marvin) Davis; two great grandsons, Carson Isaiah Young and Tyler Davis; and his sister, Della Faye Neuman.
A visitation was held on Thursday, April 20, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1700 89th St, Kenosha, WI 53143, from 9-11 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Private burial at Chapel Hill Gardens, Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Gideons International or Fellowship Baptist Church would be appreciated.
