Board of Education Hears of Disapproval from Altamont Fire Chief

Jon Becker, Altamont Fire Chief read a statement to the Board of Education during their regular meeting  on Monday, June 14.
Becker was present supporting the ABATE use of school facilities during the State Rendezvous which is held the weekend of June 25-27.
Becker was asking the board to reconsider an earlier decision by the board to ban overnight camping on school property.
For the past several years ABATE has used the parking lot to stage prior to the events official opening at noon on Friday.
Many members travel from all parts of the state to attend the event and arrive as early  as the night before.
